Dentist

Today we all went to the Dentist. Morgan sat in the dentist chair for the first time to have her teeth looked at. Actually it wasn't that easy at first. I sat down then she sat on my lap. We tried to get her to open her mouth and she wouldn't, the dental assistant was very patient and tried to get her excited about it showing her the toothbrush, the squirt gun (as she called it) and the suction tool. She showed her how the chair goes up and down, Morgan thought that was pretty fun, but she still wouldn't open her mouth. Finally I got her to sit by her self in the chair and bribed her with a "surprise" and she finally opened her mouth. The lady just counted her teeth and called it good for her first time. She was really excited after ward to pick out a prize in the treasure box. Hopefully we'll have better luck with her on our next visit.

As for Andy and I we are cavity free...yay!!

Easter Fun

This was Ayden's first Easter and even though he doesn't really care we had a lot of fun. When they woke up they went through the house looking for Easter eggs that the Easter bunny left. They found their baskets and the goodies inside. Later we went to the park and played, then went to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner and had an egg hunt there too. The day was busy but fun!

Ayden's Doctor Visit

I took Ayden to the doctor today for his 12 month check up. The Doc says he is doing good gaining weight and getting taller like he should. He had 3 shots today, which he did not like! He started crying then held his breath like he does when he's mad. He started turning blue in the face. The nurse looked at me like "what's going on". I explained to her that he does this when he's mad or upset. It scared us both but he finally started breathing and was a little zoned for a minute. "Little stinker bug."

Birthday Party

Ayden's birthday party was so much fun. He was definitely the center of attention showing off and playing ball with his Grandpa's. He didn't care much about opening presents and didn't want anything to do with his cake, but still managed to make a mess.

Aquarium

For Ayden's birthday we decided to go to the Living Planet Aquarium. He wasn't so sure about it at first. Even though the glass was between him and the fish he was afraid to be that close. He got used to it after a while but I don't think he really cared about the whole thing anyways. Morgan had fun though, even though she threw a crying fit when we first got there. Oh well! It was all about getting out and doing something as a family...right?

Birthday Boy

Where has the year gone! Today Ayden is 1 year old. He's growing like such a big boy and well on his way to walking. We love him so much and glad he is a part of our family. Happy Birthday Buddy!
