April Fools

This day always makes me smile. Andy and I started dating because of this day. For those of you who don't know here's the story.

Andy and I met when we both worked at Draper Bank. We talked as co-workers do but nothing serious. He had gotten out of a relationship a couple months prior. The girls I worked with were the match making types. Well they suggested to Andy that he should make up fake wedding invitations for April Fools. He wasn't sure, but I thought that would be fun to send to my step brothers. Well one thing led to another and the girls convinced Andy to be "the guy" in the photo and they took us out to take pictures. I had them developed for FREE because my sister worked at a One Hour Photo. I had connections with a printing company through my uncle, so we got real looking invitations printed for FREE with the date of the wedding as April 31st (which there, of course, is no such day). Since I had so many invitations I sent some out to a few family and friends. Andy did too!

It was fun to hear the different reactions. Some caught on quick, others we had to explain it was a joke. It was fun though.

As for the girls at work trying to set us up...I guess it worked! We had so much fun taking the pictures that day that I asked Andy out on our first date. Yep...you read right I asked him!

So there you go, an April Fools memory.

Girl's Night Out!

Last night we went to Phantom at Hale Theatre. We had so much fun and needed the time away from home. My Grandma was in town and was able to go with us which made it even better since we don't get to see her very often as she lives in St. George. Thanks for the fun night Mom, Grandma, Laura and Ashley!

Morgan Says...

Morgan says the funniest things sometimes. The other day I was sitting here at the computer and she comes to me and says "Mom, don't tell me no!" Not knowing what I was not saying no to I didn't really answer her so she said it again. "Mom, don't tell me no!" Again I just kind of looked at her and didn't say anything. She gave up and walked away. A few minutes later she came back over by me. I looked at her and she was undressing. I said "What are you doing?" She said "Don't tell me no!" (in a tone of voice like she had warned me before) . I couldn't help but laugh. What she was doing was putting on her princess dress and she thought I'd say no, because usually when I say no it's when we are getting ready to leave and she wants to play dress up!

Sleeping

I put Ayden down for a nap and as usual he had to cry himself to sleep. This is him sleeping!

Did you notice the snot coming out of his nose from crying!

Binky Update

It has been a week without the binky! Ayden is adjusting well to not having it. The middle of the nights are a little restless at times but he quickly goes back to sleep when I rock him. It was a rough start but I think we did it!

Battle of the Binky!

We decided it was time to get rid of Ayden's binky. He has his good days then he's had his bad days. This has been kind of struggle for me mostly because it is what calms him down and gets him to sleep. Since he hasn't felt well he hasn't been sleeping well and it's a struggle to get him to take a nap. A few times I have just gave in and gave him the binky because he was so tired and needed a nap or I wanted to sleep because it was the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! I know we will get through this but it's just hard when he is sick and has teeth coming in.
