First day of Kindergarten!

This day finally came for Morgan! She was so excited and was asking everyday for a month when school was going to start. Here she is all ready to go.
Ayden wanted to be in this picture.
Morgan wanted a picture of her backpack. She was very excited to finally use it.
Here she is in line waiting for her teacher.

Straight to Curly

People have asked how I get Morgan's "super straight" hair from this...

To this..

Well here's what I do. Morgan's hair is so straight it will not hold a curl any way I try. This is what I came up with and it seams to work well.

I twist little sections of her hair up in little buns (this has to be done when wet). Then she sleeps on it over night.

Morgan Says...

Morgan says the funniest things sometimes. The other day I was sitting here at the computer and she comes to me and says "Mom, don't tell me no!" Not knowing what I was not saying no to I didn't really answer her so she said it again. "Mom, don't tell me no!" Again I just kind of looked at her and didn't say anything. She gave up and walked away. A few minutes later she came back over by me. I looked at her and she was undressing. I said "What are you doing?" She said "Don't tell me no!" (in a tone of voice like she had warned me before) . I couldn't help but laugh. What she was doing was putting on her princess dress and she thought I'd say no, because usually when I say no it's when we are getting ready to leave and she wants to play dress up!

Meeting a Princess

Morgan put her pretty princess dress and Tiara on and Andy took Morgan on a Daddy-Daughter date. It was princess night at a local restaurant where the kids could meet a princess and do some crafts. Morgan had fun.

Our little Sunbeam

Morgan is now a Sunbeam! It is so hard to believe that she is already at that age and out of Nursery and into Primary. She didn't want to go at first but we finally got her to sit with her class. She had so much fun.

Our friend Leslie did her nails so cute the night before so she was all set for her big day in her new dress.

Morgan in the spotlight

Morgan loves to watch her Dancing Princesses movie and dance with them in her princess dress. Here is a video of her dancing and showing off. When I pull out the video camera she loves to watch herself and make funny faces, so that is what she is doing at the end.

The Party

Morgan's birthday party was so much fun. It all started when we went to pick up her cake. She was so excited and she wanted to eat it NOW! I told her we had to wait until everyone came to see her. Well everyone got here and she forgot all about it. She gets so excited when people are over and to have all her grandparents in one room, she didn't know what to do.

She opened presents and was so overwhelmed by what she got. She loved it all and wanted to play with it all at once. She got princess dresses and shoes, lots of Tinkerbell dolls, duplicates even (I guess that's what she gets for liking Tinkerbell so much). She got an easel to color on, a scooter and umbrella from Mom and Dad. Everyone definitely knows her well. She got everything she could have ever wanted and more. Yes...she's a little spoiled! But she thanked everyone by giving them a kiss.

I love being a mom

It amazes me every day how much Morgan pays attention to me when I think she isn't watching or listening. She imitates how I am with Ayden to her babies. She loves to be the little helper, throwing away diapers, feeding Ayden and covering him a with a blanket. I am told often that she is a lot like how I was when I was little. I'm not sure if that is good or bad but I am enjoying every minute of being a mom to her and watching her grow and learn new things.

Time for Morgan

We took Morgan to see Wall-E. She needed some Mom and Dad time. She was so excited about the popcorn and treats. Half way through she go bored and wanted to play. Then the last half hour of the movie she fell asleep. but she said she had fun and that's all that matters.
