Temple Square

We took the kids to see the lights at Temple Square. None of these pictures are of the lights but they are all taken by Morgan.

She wanted a picture of the temple.

She also wanted a picture of her and Jesus but could only fit one or the other in one shot.

Festival of Trees

I love making time for the fun Christmas activities and events there are to do. We started it off by going to the Festival of Trees. It's fun to see all the different ways people decorate their trees and of course we are supporting a good cause.

My Monday

I dropped the kids off at daycare today and about 15 minutes later I get a call asking if I wanted to turn around and go back. Apparently Ayden decided he needed to go visit the doctor today. He fell off a chair and his tooth went through his lip. when I saw him I thought for sure he would need stitches. I took him to Instacare and the doctor said the cut on the outside of his lip was not open enough to need stitches and the cut on the inside was borderline. He said he could put stitches in or leave it because with it being inside his mouth it would heal fast. I went with no stitches and an antibiotic to prevent infection.

These pictures are not the greatest but it gives you an idea.

Let me just tell you that he is doing fine. He was obviously hurting at first and I'm sure he still is a little. But he was running around the doctors office, daycare and home later like his normal self. Nothing slows this kid down!

Happy Halloween

Morgan had a Halloween party at Preschool and Dance today.

She was a Witch.

Her preschool class a a little Halloween program for the parents. They sang all of the Halloween songs that they have learned.

Trouble

I think we are in for trouble with these two but they have gotten to know each other pretty well over the last few weeks and sure do have fun together.

Pumkin Patch Fieldtrip

Morgan went to the Pumpkin Patch today with her preschool class. She had fun picking out her pumpkin and sitting on the tractors. Then they decorated their pumpkins with silly faces.

Fire in Herriman

So remind me never to say how great my weekend was BEFORE it is over!

For those of you who did not hear. The mountain in Herriman caught on fire and spread quickly evacuating 1500 people from their homes with 4 homes lost. Luckily we were not part of the mandatory evacuated group but we left anyways because the smoke was so bad.

It was a little scary being so close to home. At least we did not lose our home and we are safe.

Great Weekend

I just have to say that this weekend has been quite the experience. Starting off with the Buddy Walk and supporting those special kids then today at church the special needs people were the program. It was so neat to hear them speak and sing. They have such a special spirit and more than once today brought tears to my eyes (I was not the only one).

Buddy Walk 2010

It was Buddy Walk time of year again and as usual we had a blast! It's always so much fun to go and support our family and friends and see the special down syndrome kids and spend some time with them.

This year for the entertainment they had Rachel Coleman from Signing Time. Our kids loved this! They watch Signing Time on almost a daily basis and loved seeing her and Leah and Hopkins in person.

Morgan got picked to go up on stage and help her with the "Colors" song. Her job was to sign the word purple. She did it in this picture but while they were singing the song she just stood there and looked cute...maybe they were singing too fast for her to keep up I don't know. But she had fun and even got an autographed card from Rachel and Leah.

Rachel led the walk and afterwards we were able to get a photo of her and the kids.

Today Morgan went on a fieldtrip to the Bluffdale Firestation with her preschool class.

Last Camping Trip for the Year

I'm a couple of weeks late on getting this posted but here are a few pictures from our camping trip at Trial Lake.
